The Lake Superior Circle Tour is a 1,300 mile (2,092km) self guided tour around the worlds largest fresh water lake. Travel around the lake by land or water, Lake Superior is 350 miles long by 160 miles wide with a total surface area of 31,700 square miles, much of it accessible for your enjoyment.
Lake datasets are made up of a variety of measurements from lake sediments and bog deposits that can be used to indicate past water temperature, physical properties, biology, and chemistry. The study of past conditions of inland freshwater bodies is called paleolimnology.
As part of our GIS Hub, we now host a Open Data Download page. All the layers available before on our site have been moved to this new page. Users are able to view and download our data in many formats including spreadsheets, shapefiles, Kml, GeoJSON and more.
Seamlessly merging CCM rivers and lakes with the existing Natural Earth base data required many adjustments. CCM rivers that coincided with Natural Earth rivers were mostly deleted. In a few cases where the existing Natural Earth data were found egregiously incorrect, the CCM data replaced the Natural Earth data.
The remaining CCM data were fitted Natural Earth rivers, lakes, coastlines, glaciers, political boundaries, and shaded relief derived from SRTM Plus. The positional adjustments were minor given the 1:10 million-scale of the data. In addition, the headwaters of some CCM rivers were clipped slightly downstream to provide visual separation with other river headwaters and to avoid the crests of ridges on the shaded relief.

The supplementary (scale ranks 9 to 12) North America rivers and lakes included with Natural Earth are in the public domain and supplementary attribution to the Commission for Environmental Cooperation is optional (metadata).

I've been working with Azure Data Lake, uploading and downloading files, but now I've been requested to download a complete folder (as a zip or any compressed format), I didn't find a way to do it with SDK.
We can only download the folder and then compress it, because there are no option to compress it before you download. Else, alternative to use Azure Data Factory- Copy Activity, where in the sink we can have to copy activity we can have the compressed version which supported by ADF- mentioned in the snip2- where in the sink you will have the option to choose from the Compression type along with Compression level.
The Evergreen State offers a vast array of fisheries, from Puget Sound to rivers and lakes on both sides of the Cascades. Before heading out, make sure you have the appropriate recreational fishing license and be sure to take the following steps:
I tried to download a file from Azure Data Lake. With the credentials, I can list the contents of the directory. But Downloading gives below error: "This request is not authorized to perform this operation using this permission"

Azure Data Lake extension will download and install required dependencies during activation. For machines with no Internet access, you can install the extension and dependencies by choosing the Install from VSIX... option in the Extension view and installing a bundled release from the releases page. Each operating system has a .vsix file with the required service included. Pick the file for your OS, download and install to get started.
The extension will download and install a required language service package during activation. For machines with no Internet access, you can still use the extension by choosing the Install from VSIX... option in the Extension view and installing a bundled release from our releases page. Each operating system has a .vsix file with the required service included. Pick the file for your OS, download and install to get started.
It's also possible to use one of this two similar plugins: OSMDownloader InaSAFE.This two plugin are enabling to download a line and polygon layers form relatively small area. This two plugins are useful in an urban area and they provide an accurate line layer of street or polygon layer of buildings.
Take for example the city of New York: by clicking the download bottom this window will open. Now you need to mark your area of interest. Once finishing this step you will have a layer of streets that you can work with.
The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) represents the water drainage network of the United States with features such as rivers, streams, canals, lakes, ponds, coastline, dams, and streamgages. The NHD is the most up-to-date and comprehensive hydrography dataset for the Nation.
The NHD is available as a file geodatabase download, which maintains the richness of the complex NHD database model, including multiple feature datasets, feature classes, event feature classes, attribute tables, relationship classes, domains, and feature-level metadata. The NHD file geodatabase download contains NHD data in the Hydrography feature dataset. It also includes the WBD in a second feature dataset.
Waterbodies such as lake/pond features are represented in NHDWaterbody. They portray the spatial geometry and the attributes of the feature. These water polygons may have NHDFlowline artificial paths drawn through them to allow the representation of water flow direction. Other NHDWaterbody features are swamp/marsh, reservoir, playa, estuary, and ice mass.
1. Bathymetry and backscatter data processed onSilicon Graphic computer using software developed by the Ocean Mapping Group,University of New Brunswick. (see USGS OpenFile Report 98-509, The Bathymetry of Lake Tahoe, California-Nevada)2. Processed data downloaded to a Sun Sparc Ultra 2, running Solaris 2.5as an ascii file (longitude, latitude, depth, or backscatter DN value)3. In Arc/Info 7.1.2 a point coverage is created from the ascii file.4. Point coverage is projected into UTM projection.5. Projected point coverage is gridded using IDW (Inverse Distance Weighted)function.6a. Grid is exported to Arc/Info export (.e00) file.6b. Grid is converted to a TIFF image using the "Gridimage" command.7. Both the export and TIFF files are compressed using UNIX version of GZIP.
We've made it easier to figure out what fishing regulations are on your favorite lake! Our searchable Guide to Wisconsin hook and line fishing regulations lets you search by inland lakes, by lake name or by county and includes an interactive map.
Lake Goodwin is located in the Seven Lakes area north of the Tulalip Reservation. It is a 538.7-acre lake with an average depth of 23 feet. The watershed, or the land area that drains into the lake, is 2474.5 acres and 30% of the land is developed.
As part of Snohomish County's Lake Management Program, County staff and volunteer lake monitors have been tracking the health of Lake Goodwin since 1992 as shown in the reports below. You can also learn more about Snohomish County and community efforts to control invasive Eurasian watermilfoil in the lake.
To download the data: The following data are available for download as comma separated values (.csv) files. Sort the table below using the pull down menus or headers to more easily locate the data for a specific survey or indicator type. Right click on the file name and select Save Link As to save the file to your computer. Make sure to also download the companion metadata file (.txt) for the list of field labels.
HydroLAKES aims to provide the shoreline polygons of all global lakes with a surface area of at least 10 ha. HydroLAKES has been developed using a suite of auxiliary data sources of lake polygons and gridded lake surface areas. All lakes are co-registered to the global river network of the HydroSHEDS database via their lake pour points. The global coverage of HydroLAKES encompasses 1.4 million individual lakes or reservoirs representing a total surface area of 2.67 million km, a total shoreline length of 7.2 million km, and a total storage volume of 181,900 km. HydroLAKES only includes a limited amount of (mostly geometric) attribute information, such as surface area, shoreline length, and estimates of average depth, water volume and residence time. Every lake is also co-registered to a river reach of the HydroRIVERS dataset and a sub-basin of the HydroBASINS database (via shared IDs). 041b061a72
